Cultivating Kindness! Celebrating the Joy Within You and Sharing it, Too!
Led by educator and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) specialist, Katie Cavuto, this camp is perfect for kids aged 8-13 who love to create, explore, and learn about themselves in fun and interactive ways! Campers should come ready to create, play and explore how awesome kindness feels inside of you! In this fun half-day camp, we will use art, mindfulness, and pure positivity to explore empathy, helping our community and the sharing kindness through the many simple ways we can brighten someone’s day. There will also be time to cultivate self-love and extend kindness towards ourselves. This remind us of the gifts we bring to the world and the beauty of who we are. Love and kindness starts with you then radiates outwards to everyone else!
Throughout the half-day, one-week-long program, activities will include:
- Your Shoes or Mine? Exploring Empathy through games and art
- Activities to connect to our strengths and gifts
- Exploring Gratitude through Mindfulness
- Community Kindness Scavenger Hunt
- Creating Positive “I am” statements and exploring them in our actions
- Creating and sharing acts of kindness with ourselves and others
- Creating individual kindness projects
- Last Day Sharing and Celebration (parents, friends and caregivers welcome from 10:30-11:30)
Parent resources will be provided to support you and your child(ren) as they continue to explore the acts of kindness and the love they can share with the world!
