Bountiful Boxes! Celebrating You and Sharing Kindness, Too!
Led by educator and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) specialist, Katie Cavuto, this camp is perfect for kids aged 8-12 who love to create, explore, and learn about themselves in fun and interactive ways! Campers should come ready to create, play and celebrate the awesomeness they hold within! In this fun half-day camp, we create and decorate bountiful boxes then use art, mindfulness, and ingenuity to fill our bountiful boxes with a variety of positive affirmations and self-care tools meant to remind us of the gifts we bring to the world, the beauty of who we are and the ways we can love and care for ourselves every day! Love and kindness starts with each individual and then radiates outwards to everyone else! Our bountiful boxes will be overflowing by the end of our week together!
Throughout the half-day, one-week-long program, activities will include:
- Creating a Beautiful Bountiful Box
- Mindfulness activities like breathing exercises, games, and gratitude practices
- Creating Individualized Self-Care Tools
- Exploring Strengths and Gifts
- Daily Art Activities
- Creating and Exploring Positive “I am” statements with our actions
- Creating Inspiring positive affirmation cards
- Creating and sharing random acts of kindness!
- Scavenger Hunt with Celebration on the last day!
Parent resources will be provided to support you and your child(ren) as they continue to explore the bountiful boxes they will bring home with them!
Campers registered for separate morning and afternoon programs in the same week will receive complimentary gap care, which includes a supervised lunch/recess break from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Campers bring their own lunch and snacks.
